After the operational period, EEF ensures the professional dismantling of the facilities to restore the site to its original condition – a duty that EEF implements to the highest standards and with utmost commitment. From the start, it is also assessed whether repowering, i.e., the replacement of old facilities with more efficient and modern models of the latest generation, is possible. This long-term approach offers the chance to extend existing partnerships and secure ongoing lease income through new contracts, while simultaneously ensuring a sustainable supply of renewable energy.

Dismantling process

Efficient dismantling: focus on sustainability

Our dismantling concept for wind turbines focuses on efficiency and sustainability. Initially, the systems are de-energized and all liquids are properly disposed of. The disassembly is carried out in the reverse order of assembly, with all components carefully separated and prepared for reuse or recycling. Concrete and steel are crushed and processed as recyclable materials, while cables and plastic parts are recycled or properly disposed of. Our goal is to ensure the reusability of materials and to minimize environmental impact. Thus, we actively contribute to resource conservation and the promotion of the circular economy.
