Optimal land use through a holistic approach

The Wind Energy Land Requirement Act (WindBG) sets clear goals: By 2032, the federal states must allocate at least 2% of their land area for wind energy. This mandate is crucial to accelerate the expansion of wind power and to drive the energy transition with full force. Implementation is carried out through a multi-stage plan that extends from the state to the local level.

EEF serves as a strong and reliable partner to local communities. We initially assess the potential for renewable energies at the state level and analyze how much of this potential is already utilized. We always consider the entire spatial context and follow a holistic approach that integrates wind, solar, storage, and grid components. Our goal: to optimally utilize the potentials and enable a smooth, meaningful use of renewable energies for the communities.

The goals of the potential analysis

Identifying untapped potentials

The potential analysis aims to identify previously unused areas for renewable energies. The analysis recognizes areas not yet identified that can contribute to maximizing energy production.

Exhausting the land use target

A central goal of the potential analysis is to fully exploit the land use targets. We optimally use the available areas to advance the development of renewable energies and actively shape the energy transition 2.0.

Gaining a holistic perspective

The feasibility analyses provide a comprehensive review of all relevant factors to ensure sustainable and efficient land use. It integrates ecological, technical, and legal aspects and thoroughly examines which renewable energies are most sensible for the specific sites – always with our holistic approach in mind.

Feasibility analysis process

From analysis to report in just 4 weeks

EEF is a strong partner alongside local communities when it comes to identifying the best sites and fully exploiting their potential. Our structured process starts with identifying goals and recognizing the needs of the respective region. We selectively choose the right partners to create a solid data foundation for further analysis. This is followed by a comprehensive analysis of the entire area, where we accurately assess the potential and prioritize the sites best suited for the development of renewable energies. Once this prioritization is complete, our discussions with the municipality and stakeholders begin. It is particularly important to us that all parties are involved from the start and that the projects receive full support. Our transparent process ensures that the energy transition is advanced quickly and in harmony with the interests of all stakeholders.
