Are wind turbines energy efficient?

A wind turbine generates more energy within three to seven months than is used in its manufacture, operation, and dismantling. Thereafter, it provides clean, renewable energy for at least 20 years. Compared to fossil fuel power plants that continuously consume fuels, wind turbines are thus significantly more energy efficient.
