With the introduction of the "Student Factory", the Renewable Energy Factory (EEF) is breaking new ground in the training of working students. This innovative training format is more than just an educational program: It offers young talents the opportunity to get to know company structures hands-on, optimize work processes, and take responsibility. The goal is to not only qualify students technically but also to enable them to independently design processes and support the next generation of working students.

The Student Factory acts as a miniature version of the EEF: In a specially designed office, working students independently take on tasks and projects, develop solutions for real challenges, and learn to design business processes. In addition to technical knowledge, they also deepen their ability to use resources efficiently and think entrepreneurially. Additionally, the students benefit from valuable impulses from external partners, such as EEF's cooperation partners, who share their expertise and practice-oriented insights.

The concept of the Student Factory combines independent work with structured training, thus promoting both technical and social skills. "With the Student Factory, we offer working students the opportunity to develop in a forward-looking environment and take on responsibility. In doing so, they develop entrepreneurial thinking and learn to actively shape business processes," explains Nancy Schmidt, head of administration at EEF.

Despite the independent working style, the connection to the EEF culture remains a central component. The working students continue to work regularly in the main office, participate in team-building events, and maintain constant communication with other EEF employees. This strengthens a close connection to the team and to the corporate culture.

The Student Factory is continuously evaluated and adapted to current needs. After completing the pilot phase, a comprehensive analysis is conducted to identify areas for improvement and optimize the program for additional participants. With this ongoing development, EEF ensures that the program always meets the current industry requirements and the needs of the students.

With the Student Factory, the Renewable Energy Factory sets a new standard for promoting young talent in the renewable energy sector. This not only enhances its attractiveness as an employer for students but also contributes to the sustainable design of the Energy Transition 2.0.
