EEF acquires greenfield project rights

Berlin July 17, 2024 - Renewable Energy Factory GmbH (EEF) is pleased to announce the acquisition of project rights for a wind park in Saxony-Anhalt. The owners of the existing wind park will continue to be involved in the project development and will advance the project together with EEF. The existing wind park, which currently consists of four wind turbines, is nearing the end of its technical lifespan. To maximize energy production and increase efficiency, EEF plans, in cooperation with the owners, to replace the old turbines with wind turbines of the latest technology.

As part of the development project, three Vestas V-172 are expected to be Total capacity of 21.6 MW turbinesbe installed.

The project will enable the operators of the wind turbines and EEF to significantly increase the annual energy yield of the wind park. With a forecasted yield of approximately 70,000 MWh per yearthe new wind park will be capable of supplying about 20,000 households.

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027. During the construction phase, EEF will work closely with local authorities and communities to ensure that the work is carried out smoothly and in compliance with all environmental and safety standards.
