Berlin, June 12, 2024 - Last Thursday, June 6, 2024, EEF ceremoniously opened its new office in Berlin. The event took place on the spacious rooftop terrace of EEF, high above the rooftops of the capital. Niklas Hinz, one of the three managing directors of EEF, welcomed the guests with an inspiring speech, thanked long-term partners and officially opened the new office.

The managing director of the Federal Association for Renewable Energy and Federal Association Wind Energy e.V., Mr. Wolfram Axthelm, emphasized in his speech the central importance of collaboration among wind energy, photovoltaics, and storage technologies for a sustainable energy future. He underscored that the interplay of these technologies is essential for the energy transition. Additionally, he added that EEF is a pioneer of the Energy transition 2.0 is. Mr. Axthelm noted in this context that the smart connection is in better harmony with grid utilization and grid expansion. He also referred to the latest amendment of the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG), which will further advance the industry.

Subsequently, Dr. Andreas Lenz, policy spokesperson for the CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag for energy and sustainability, spoke. He emphasized the importance of innovation for the success of the Energy transition and was pleased about the commitment of companies like EEF. He particularly highlighted topics such as digitalization and efficiency gains through new technologies. Lastly, he stressed the importance of good exchange between political officials at the federal, state, and local levels and everyone who is driving the Energy transition at the local level.

The opening was under the motto 'follow the green line'. The motto symbolizes the invitation to all guests to shape the Energy transition 2.0 together with EEF. This means implementing holistic concepts where available spaces are rethought, and digitalizing traditional processes in the development of these projects.

The new office itself also reflects the working method of EEF: In addition to modern equipment that includes creative zones, it offers the flexibility to adapt to the needs of employees and teams. Guests were able to see during a tour and the subsequent party how the new work environment supports collaboration and creative exchange among employees.

The opening of the new office marks a significant milestone for EEF in the context of the Energy transition 2.0. With a clear commitment to innovative technologies and a strong focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, EEF is well-equipped for the challenges of the future.
