EEF Moves into new office in Hamburg
04.03.2025
Berlin, February 25, 2025 – EEF strengthens its commitment to the Energy transition 2.0 with another forward-looking wind project in Lower Saxony. With the successful securing of project rights for a wind project near the community of Ostercappeln, the company continues its strategy to promote the expansion of renewable energies nationwide. The planned total capacity of the project amounts to over 20 MW.
The project includes three modern wind turbines, which will supply about 15,300 households with renewable energy after commissioning. The construction is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027, with commissioning expected by the end of 2028. EEF has already reviewed the project for storage and conversion technologies as part of its holistic approach to make the generated energy even more efficient.
"With this project, we are significantly advancing sustainable energy production in a windy region and strengthening rural areas through our holistic approach," explains Hajo Kallsen, Head of Investments at EEF. "Our approach includes not only the construction of state-of-the-art wind turbines but also close cooperation with local stakeholders. Thus, we not only contribute significantly to climate protection but also enhance regional value creation and our position as pioneers of the Energy transition 2.0."
The development of the project is carried out in close cooperation with Kajoni as a partner. Manuel Stiller, CEO of Kajoni, emphasizes: "We are delighted to implement this wind project together with an experienced and committed partner like EEF, who particularly focuses on the local people. Together, we contribute to sustainable energy supply in Lower Saxony and see this project as a kickoff to utilize further potentials in the region."
The strong local networking of Kajoni in Osnabrück and the comprehensive expertise of EEF in developing and implementing holistic concepts ensure efficient further development of the project.
Developing projects at optimal locations not only contributes to regional value creation but also to the sustainable transformation of energy supply. So far, EEF has been able to invest over 100 million euros in equity into the acquisition of wind projects with more than 360 MW capacity in the twelve months since its founding. The current wind pipeline includes 1.5 GW, as well as 760 MW in photovoltaics. With the recent acquisition of two significant wind projects in Lower Saxony with a total capacity of over 85 MW, EEF consistently continues its growth strategy. These projects underscore the company's commitment to realizing powerful wind turbines at optimal locations and thus driving forward the Energy transition 2.0, always with an eye on further innovative technologies that could meaningfully complement the future of energy.
In this context, EEF was legally advised by the law firm Samp Schilling, while Kajoni received support from McDermott Will & Emery (legally) and GreenCap Partners (M&A).
EEF stands for a future where sustainability and progress are closely linked. As a creative visionary, it passionately advocates for the Energy transition 2.0 and is an innovative partner for holistic energy concepts in Germany. With years of industry experience and locations in Berlin, Hamburg, and Mainz, EEF drives local projects forward with over 60 employees, aiming to incorporate these into its holdings in the long term. EEF plans to invest over a billion euros in the coming years. The goal is to create a sustainable energy era by intelligently combining wind energy, photovoltaics, conversion, and storage technologies, supported by innovative AI software. Through open dialogues and careful listening, EEF develops customized energy solutions that meet local needs.
